A Bit More About Me

I have been a New York State Certified Paralegal for the past 14 years, and a New York State Commissioned Notary Public for the past 10 years. In 2024, I founded Small Town Notary LLC to provide convenient and affordable mobile notary and document preparation services to small towns around the Hudson Valley.

I began my career in family law as a paralegal, and no matter where life took me, I always found myself drawn back to it. Early on, I was fortunate to work under a mentor who’s now a Family Court Judge—she taught me everything from navigating contentious divorces to advocating for children in the legal system. That foundation shaped how I view family law—not just as a career, but as a way to help people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Over the years, I saw firsthand the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a law office moving. Paralegals, much like nurses to doctors, are often the quiet force supporting attorneys—handling the research, drafting the documents, and helping clients feel heard. But I also came to realize that not every family needs litigation or the high cost of hiring a lawyer. Some people just need someone to help guide them through the process with clarity, compassion, and structure.

That’s what inspired me to become a divorce mediator. I wanted to offer families a more peaceful and affordable path forward—one that is rooted in mutual respect and understanding. I am not an attorney and I do not give legal advice, but I do help clients understand the law and empower them to take control of their own story.

In addition to my legal work, I currently balance a corporate career and a full life outside the office. I’m a blend of Rachel and Donna from Suits—organized, sharp, and always two steps ahead. When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me being a lacrosse mom, tuning in to WWE, baking, and diving into true crime stories. I’m also a kickass wife and mother (my husband’s words, not mine), and I enjoy spending time with my family and pets—which includes 3 dogs (a Shepherd, an Irish Doodle, and a Berne Irish Doodle) and a flock of 13 chickens.

Let’s Work Together

It’s no secret that divorce or even the prospect of separating from your partner can be one of the most emotionally and financially challenging times in a person’s life. Whether you're seeking guidance through a divorce, need help finalizing document prep, or are just starting the research process to understand your options, you know why you’re here.
